Getting to Haweswater Hotel could not be easier.  Just drive up the M6 and leave at Exit 39 or take the A6 to Shap.  From there go via Bampton Grange and Naddle Gate to Haweswater Lake.  You can also reach the Hotel from Ullswater by turning south between Pooley Bridge and Eamont Bridge and travelling via Askham to Naddle Gate.
