    After four centuries of serving travellers from near and far, with a welcoming, unchanging bar, an imaginative and changing menu and a range of real ales including our own traditional beers brewed at the Duck, we still only change for your sake and not for change's sake.

    We are ideally located for those wishing to holiday in the Lake District and have excellent and individual accommodation. We also offer two delicious menus (one for our famous bar and one for our much praised restaurant)

    You can use the booking form to let us know how long want to stay and in which type of room, (we have doubles and suites), and we will get back in touch with you as soon as we can.
