Farlam Hall was purchased by Alan, Joan, Barry and Helen Quinion in June 1975. The years since then have been spent restoring the house to todays ideal blend of Victorian elegance and modern comfort.

Over the years recognition of the high standards of comfort and service have been acknowledged by all the major guides including the awarding of 3 Red Stars and 2 Rosettes from the A.A., 3 Stars and a Blue Ribbon from the RAC and from 1984 membership of Relais & Chateaux.

ROOMS:

At Farlam Hall Hotel there are 12 double bedrooms, 11 in the hotel (2 are on the ground floor) and one in the stable house.  Due to the age of the house they all vary greatly in size and shape and the prices reflect only the size not a change in the quality.

RATES:

The rates are per person, per night and include full English breakfast and V.A.T. at 17.5%. Depending on the size of of the room chosen the 3 rates are £110.00, £115.00 and £125.00 for double occupancy. There is a £10.00 surcharge for single occupancy.

When sharing a double room reduced rates are available for longer stays excluding New Year and Easter. The number of nights required to qualify varies from high to low season.

All reservations must be confirmed in writing and a deposit for all overseas bookings is required. This must be paid by sterling cheque or Mastercard/Visa (you can use our secure transaction form to pay by credit card please ask when contacting us by email).

Cooked breakfast is served in the restaurant from 8.30am to 9.30am.   Continental breakfast is available from 7.45am either in the restaurant or your bedroom.

We do not serve luncheon in the restaurant but light lunches for residents are always available.

Dinner is served each night of the week at 8.00pm and smart dress is preferred.  Hot dinners are only served in the restaurant and not in the bedrooms.

No children under 5 are accepted and reductions for children are only made if sharing a room as an extra person.

We do still permit smoking in the hotel and restaurant but ask people to be considerate of others at all times.  Pipes and cigars are not permitted in the restaurant.
